Import multiple depreciation areas for Fixed Assets - SAP B1 V9.0

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to import Fixed Assets from excel into SAP B1 V9.0 PL 09 Hot fix 1 where there are two depreciation areas ("Main Area" and "Tax" for each asset.

I've been able to successfully import Fixed Assets in the past where there is only one depreciation area but I'm not sure of the excel layout when you are importing two depreciation areas.

In SAP B1 V8 you had one row per asset with depreciation area 100 and 200 information on the same row.  When you use the Import Data for Fixed Assets option in V9 I don't see an option to be able to select multiple depreciation areas on the same row.

I've tried having a seperate row for eash depreciation area of a Fixed Asset but keep getting the error  Cannot import "1001"; its active depreciation areas must be the same as those defined in the corresponding asset class].

I've search SCN and the SAP portals and found links to information on importing Fixed Assets for V9 but found nothing specific about importing multiple depreciation areas for a single asset.

Any assistance that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Graeme Pickering
